Historical accounts connect them with everyday illumination as well as funerals, ceremonies and folk traditions, while mullein itself has long carried associations with light, protection and ritual.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp class=\"p2\"\u003eThis version is handmade from fully dried \u003cspan class=\"s1\"\u003emullein flower stalks\u003c\/span\u003e\u003cspan class=\"s2\"\u003e, repeatedly dipped in \u003c\/span\u003e\u003cspan class=\"s1\"\u003e100% locally sourced beeswax from Skåne\u003c\/span\u003e\u003cspan class=\"s2\"\u003e and finished with seasonal herbs and flowers grown in my own garden. Depending on the season, these may include lavender, chamomile, rose, mullein flowers and leaves, sage and yarrow.\u003c\/span\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp class=\"p2\"\u003eEven without being lit, they have a beautiful natural scent from the warm, honey-like beeswax and dried herbs.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp class=\"p2\"\u003eLength: 15 cm\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp class=\"p2\"\u003eToday, they can be used as a small seasonal ritual during the darker months, bringing together \u003cspan class=\"s1\"\u003efire, herbs and scent\u003c\/span\u003e\u003cspan class=\"s2\"\u003e. Light the tip until the beeswax begins to melt and the dried plant material catches, then blow out the flame and allow the torch to smoulder gently, more like botanical incense than a conventional candle. Relight whenever you wish to continue.\u003c\/span\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp class=\"p2\"\u003eEach torch is made by hand and naturally unique, with variations in shape, herbs and flowers.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp class=\"p2\"\u003eImportant:\u003cspan class=\"s2\"\u003e A mullein torch is not a conventional candle. Never leave it burning or smouldering unattended.
